In an ambitious move to develop the north of Diriyah, Diriyah Company has announced a groundbreaking $2 billion joint venture construction project. The Northern District Construction Contract, a collaboration between Diriyah and contractors El Seif Engineering Contracting Company Limited (ESEC) and China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited (CSCEC), aims to establish state-of-the-art educational institutions, cultural venues, modern offices, and a luxury hotel.

This significant deal, scheduled to kick off in the third quarter of 2024, marks the largest single contract awarded by Diriyah to date. According to the Group CEO of Diriyah, Jerry Inzerillo, this project represents a major step in the development strategy of the region, emphasizing its commitment to creating a globally renowned destination for learning, culture, and tourism. The construction process will also involve building road tunnels and executing the world's largest single concrete pour of 6,100 cubic meters for foundational work, as part of the broader plan to transform Diriyah into a vibrant and welcoming destination for visitors worldwide.
